With sustainability and convenience becoming increasingly important to our customers, Vauxhall have announced their latest partnership with Tesco. 

• The collaboration with one of the UK’s largest supermarket chains and owner of the UK’s largest destination charging network, will allow new Retail Vauxhall EV customers to access one year’s free charging across the 2,700 charging bays*.

• Tesco Electric Vehicle Charging Network

  With 2,700 dedicated EV charging points strategically installed across their 619 store locations, Tesco are the country’s largest retail EV charging network. Powered by the leading provider, PodPoint, there are a range of charging options available to customers, including 7kW, 22kW, 50kW and 75kW chargers.

  With Tesco stores only a 10-minute drive away for over 70% of the UK population, it is easier than ever for drivers to recharge their vehicle’s battery on the go.

• About the Tesco and Vauxhall EV Partnership

  With the UK’s Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate deadline approaching, hybrid and electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular on our roads. However, the widespread adoption of electric vehicles faces a crucial challenge: the availability of charging infrastructure.

  In addition to Vauxhall introducing an impressive line-up of electric vehicles to their range, including the award-winning Vauxhall Corsa Electric and the versatile Vauxhall Mokka Electric, they have been striving to improve the accessibility of charging points across the UK.

  Through the Tesco partnership, customers that order a brand-new electric Vauxhall can enjoy one year’s free charging* across the extensive Tesco charging network. These customers will be able to conveniently and affordably charge their vehicle, whilst going about their daily lives.

  Despite the free charging offer being exclusive to Vauxhall customers and the PodPoint powered chargers being branded with Vauxhall livery, any electric car and van driver can use these charging points. This is another way Vauxhall are striving to make electric vehicles accessible to all and empowering electric vehicle adoption.

  The Tesco partnership builds on Vauxhall’s recent launch of their Electric Streets of Britain campaign.

  As part of Vauxhall’s mission to help the UK’s charging network to grow, this initiative aims to accelerate the availability of on-street residential charging infrastructure, to support the demand of EVs.

  The collaboration with Tesco’s charging network is another step forward for Vauxhall as they continue their journey of increasing convenient charging solutions across the UK.
